Chapel End – the new footway has been installed and the Parish Council are working with the County Council to try and improve the drainage issues along this stretch of road.
Trees – Network Power are carrying out work within the village to remove branches that are obstructing their wires
Jubilee Wood – A woodside arbour has been jointly funded by the Parish Council and Great Gidding Charity to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the planting of the wood.
Recreation Ground – The plaque to commemorate the Fields in Trust Queen Elizabeth II Field status has been received and arrangements to site it are being made. The Parish Council have applied to the HDC Community Chest Fund for a grant to improve the play equipment.
Potholes – to report potholes and other highway faults (inc pavements) contact Cambridgeshire County Council telephone 0345 045 5212 or use the website report system at www.cambridgshire.go.uk/transport/roads/reportingafault.htm They need information on where the problems are and your input would help them.
Buses – if you use public transport please look out for details of the Huntingdonshire Association for Community Transport service on www.hact-cambs.co.uk or 01480 411114
Recycling – the clothing bank situated in the Village Hall car park has produced £119.85 in recycling credits for the Parish – this has been set aside for a suitable project within the village. Thank you to everyone who uses this resource which has great benefits to all concerned.
Dog Fouling Legislation – The rules are important to you if you own a dog or you are concerned about dog fouling in public places. A public place means land to which the public has access within built up areas which includes roads with a speed limit of 40pmh or less – footpaths, open spaces, parks, school playing fields, cemeteries etc.
Rights of Way – If parishioners wish to report a problem on a path, then please call the Contact Centre on 0345 045 5212 or use the website issue report system at www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/transport/roads/reportingafault.htm. Using this system records the issue directly on to their database and allows officers to concentrate on resolving issues

A prescription service is provided from Wellside Surgery, who will deliver your medication for you to collect from the village shop.
Mobile Library Route H18 – 3rd Thursday every month, Recreation Ground entrance, Winwick Road 12.40 – 1pm – Open to everyone, free to join with a wide range of books for all ages, including large print and audio books. Access to all library service stock on request with on-line requests delivered to your mobile library and items accepted for return from any library.
Mobile Post Office – Chapel End Monday 9.30 – 11.30am, Tuesday – Friday 9.30 – 11 am (excluding bank holidays)
Community Involvement Would you like to be involved in helping maintain and improve the village or have an idea that would benefit the community? The management committee of the village hall and recreation ground meet on the second Monday of the month in the village hall at 7pm and are looking for new members to join them.
Parish Council meetings are held in the village hall at 7.30pm, usually on the third Tuesday of the month – please check the noticeboard for details and come along.
