Up to the late 1840s there was one tenement on
this site divided into 3 cottages. The cottages in this photo were
built before 1848. In 1870 there were said to be 5 cottages. The
original tenement was in a totally derelict state before 1920.
The property was owned by John Brawn from 1824 to 1870.
